Director Richard Jones wanted to add something special to his production of Kát’a Kabanová at the Royal Opera House, so he enlisted my help as a member of the creative team. I worked with the actors, chorus and creative team, to devise three original illusions for the production. These were carefully and collaboratively developed to perfectly fit the tone of the performance, whilst also adding emphasis to key moments in the lead character’s story. The production won an Olivier Award.
